This past weekend brought me back to Dallas for my baby sis’ first dance team competition, in which she proved to be more talented than I ever was. Quite honestly, her Russian leap made my inner thighs sore just watching it.
We indulged in a Sunday morning exploring Deep Ellum, my personal district of choice when I’m in the mood to feed my craving for aesthetically pleasing walls n’ eats.
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a major rosy pink kick recently (coincidentally: happy Valentine’s Day, ha) and cannot stop wearing this easy off the shoulder [similar] and [these] $7 reflective sunnies with some sort of denim rotation. I keep gravitating towards this black ripped pair, similar pairs at [Topshop] and [Asos] because it’s so rare that I find denim that perfectly hugs my legs and cuts off in a way that elongates them.
And THIS BELT THOUGH. The Below the Belt double buckle has been popping up everywhere, but as a college student I couldn’t bring myself to sacrifice two weeks worth of study snacks to splurge in the original. I snagged [my version] for about $20 – still cringing but only inner tears shed. Between you and I, it gives off the same effect and still! on! sale!
Can we also just talk about Stirr’s interiors for a second? I adore a good play on textures, and there’s no shortage of patterns, gradients, and graphics: be sure to check out the stairs embossed with quotes, the upstairs fluorescent light signs, and the food.
Oh, the food. Their Texas Migas, Chicken n’ Waffles, and Hash are phenomenal – definitely portions hearty enough to order a few and share amongst friends. Decent amount of seating, great interiors, even better entrees; if you’re ever in Deep Ellum for brunch, Stirr is definitely a top contender.
What’s your go-to brunch item? I’m going to need some comfort food after this week’s first round of midterms. *dies a little inside*
